In general, we distinguish between generic top-level domains (gTLDs) such as .com, .net, .org or .info and country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs) such as .de, .uk or .fr.

In order to offer new options for domains, the possibility to apply for new top-level domains (New gTLDs or nTLDs, for brands also dotBRANDs) was provided in 2012. Since 2013, they have been gradually introduced by ICANN, including endings such as .app, .berlin, .aco or .adac.

There were also domain offspring for the animal world. But which of these new top-level domains does not exist?
