Getting around Hamburg
Hamburg has a number of transport options, both public and private, that will let you navigate the city with ease. The best way to get around in Hamburg is by foot – if your feet are still listening after the lambada last night. Secondly the city boasts an extensive public transport network of rapid transit and regional trains, buses and harbour ferries. You want to be even more flexible? You can either opt for taxis and ride-share services, or get sporty and rent a bike.
Rental cars, though an option, we consider like an excessive expense and would not recommend them for your stay in Hamburg.
Walking
Many of the city’s top attractions are located centrally and within walking distance to one another, so it just makes sense to stroll.
Rental bikes
Bike-lovers can explore Hamburg on two wheels when they sign up for the city’s public bike system: StadtRAD Hamburg. Also electric scooters like Lime or TIER are available.
