LEMARIT confirmed as a pre-evaluated Registry Service Provider and DNSSEC Provider

LEMARIT wurde von der Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) offiziell als pre-evaluated Registry Service Provider (RSP) sowie DNSSEC Provider für die kommende Runde des New gTLD-Programms bestätigt. With the successful pre-evaluation, ICANN confirms LEMARIT’s technical expertise, operational security, and organizational capability. Companies and organizations that wish to apply for their own top-level domain—especially a dotBRAND—will therefore benefit from a registry partner that has already been reviewed and recognized.

Comprehensive technical review successfully passed

Registry Service Providers deliver core technical services for operating a top-level domain—including, among others, DNS services, the Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP), and DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC)—thereby ensuring a stable, secure, and ICANN-compliant infrastructure.

To be included in the list of evaluated RSPs, providers must complete a two-stage technical evaluation process:

1. Technical screening (document review)
2. Technical testing using Registry System Testing v2.0, an automated test procedure run against the provider’s own systems

By successfully completing these reviews, LEMARIT demonstrates that the technical and organizational requirements for operating a TLD are fully met.

Pre-evaluation provides planning certainty and speeds up the application process

For future applicants, working with a pre-evaluated RSP offers key advantages:

• Reduced risk and greater planning certainty during the application process
• Avoidance of delays, as no renewed comprehensive technical review is required
• A faster path from application to delegation and operational go-live

ICANN expressly recommends that applicants name a successfully evaluated RSP when submitting their application in order to avoid potential delays in the application process.
