Toshiba, the globally renowned Japanese electronics group, is taking a pioneering step: Effective immediately, the company is consistently adopting its own dotBRAND Top-Level Domain (TLD) .toshiba.
Unified Email Addresses: @mail.toshiba replaces @toshiba.co.jp
The first milestone of this transition: All employee email addresses will gradually be switched to @mail.toshiba. The transition begins at Toshiba Corporation in Japan and will be successively extended to all subsidiaries worldwide.
Old email addresses ending in @toshiba.co.jp will remain accessible temporarily and will be forwarded to the new addresses – however, a complete transition is planned in the long term.
More Security, Less Phishing
With this measure, Toshiba pursues a clear goal: minimizing phishing risks and strengthening brand identity. Proprietary TLDs offer significantly better control over digital communication channels – a decisive advantage in the fight against cyberattacks and brand misuse.
